Granicus, Inc., its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees and contractors (hereafter, "Granicus") is the developer, owner and operator of San Marcos, a SaaS software solution for civic engagement and citizen relationship management.
This software is purchased by San Marcos (hereafter, “Partner Entities”) to provide services (“Services”) to their staff, their citizen constituents and other stakeholders (hereafter, “Users’).
This Privacy Policy applies to all websites and software applications owned and operated by Granicus and to all the other products and services offered by Granicus including our API (collectively referred to as "Granicus Applications").
By using Granicus Applications, you represent that you are 13 years old or older and you consent to the information collection and use practices described herein.
The use of Granicus Applications is governed by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
By visiting or using the Granicus Applications you agree to be bound by these terms. In addition, you understand that the specific method, features and services offered on the Granicus Applications may be altered, improved, removed or adapted at any time by Granicus in its sole discretion and without notice, subject to other contractual provisions that may be in place with our customers.
Granicus is deeply committed to protecting the privacy of its users. Below is information outlining our support for the responsible management of consumer and personal information.
The Granicus Applications contain links to other websites or application operated by third parties. Granicus accepts no liability and provides no warranties with regards to the services provided by such 3rd party websites or applications.
Granicus collects and stores certain information from and about Users in the course of those Users interacting with the application via its user interfaces or APIs.

With regards to User Personal Information, Granicus acts as a data processor on behalf of the Partner Entity to whom we are directly providing our Granicus applications as a service.
Granicus does not share this information with any third parties except our Partner Entities who are subscribed to our Granicus Applications.
For the most part authorized representatives of the Partner Entity access this information through the application itself, although it could from time to time also be provided through other means in the context of services engagements to enhance the solution or support tickets.
Information relating to Device/System Access or User Activity that we capture in our system logs is not surfaced in the application user interfaces or APIs and it is not shared with any organizations outside of Granicus including Partner entities.
The Partner Entity has a key role with regards to privacy of User data. Representatives of the Partner Entity are Users of the Granicus Application but are not employed by or agents of Granicus.
Granicus strongly encourages all Users to review Partner Entities' privacy policies in addition to this Granicus policy. Granicus accepts no responsibility with regards to the privacy policies of our Partner Entities or the compliance of their representatives with those policies.
Granicus may share aggregated demographic information about our member base with other entities, such as advertisers. This information does not identify individual users. We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information. Granicus will not share personally identifiable information with any entity, without the consent of the User.
Granicus will not give or sell User Personal Information to third parties, except in those situations where we are required to do so by law or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to: (i) comply with the law or with legal process served on us; (ii) protect and defend our rights or property; or (iii) act in an emergency to protect someone's safety.
